Gelu Tech BMS(Battery Management System) Reference Design
With the popularity of new energy electric vehicles, battery management system plays an extremely important role in the process of electrification. Aiming at this kind of application, Gelu electronics develops an overall solution by combining ST high-performance spc58 microcontroller, analog front-end l9663, intelligent high-low side and other products.
The solution include mainly ST PartNumber:
(1) High performance ASIL-D MCU SPC58NG84E7,which has e200z4 triple core,6M Byte Flash,608K on-chip General-purpose SRAM, HSM Evita-medium,8x MCAN with CAN FD,2x Ethernet 10/100Mbps, LQFP176 package。
(2) Multicell(4-14) battery monitoring and balancing IC L9963E,built in 16bit cell monitoring ADC with maximum error of ±2 mV in the [0.5 – 4.3] V range;2.66 Mbps isolated serial communication with regenerative buffer, supporting dual access ring;200 mA passive internal balancing current for each cell in both normal and silent-balancing mode ,LQFP 64 package;
(3) Automotive System basic IC L9396,Integrated buck pre-regulator, 6.5 V / 7.2 V,1 A, 465 kHz;Integrated LDO, 5 V, 250 mA for μC I/O and ADC supply;Fail safe pre-driver and output; SPI communication; built in Q&A Watchdog and temporal Watchdog;
(4) Automotive 12-ch LSD or 4 Lsd+4 Hsd L9301, built in 8 ch low side channel with RDSon 0.3 Ω ;full function Diagnostic with open load ,short to GND, short to VB; SPI communication;
